Aberrant Creations :
My art is a choose your own adventure of finding different ways to express the stories I want to tell, through the artforms I am still learning.
When I was in High School my English teacher always tried to get me to use my writing to explain abstract concepts through the use of concrete details and images. This always seemed backwards to me. I wanted to dismantle the assumed concrete ideas through the use of abstract thoughts and concepts. I didn’t want to use art to create something. I wanted to use art to challenge and dismantle what and how people thought of things.
We have to challenge ourselves with uncomfortable ideas and situations in order to grow and learn new ideas and ways of understanding the world around us.
You can not create perfection through the elimination of imperfections. Rather it is through the illumination of imperfections that you can see and understand perfection.
I am just as excited about the process as I am with the finished product.
